SH Medical Group was founded in 1984 by Cándido Gascó. Since then, the group has become one of the leading companies for import, distribution of medical products and procedure packs in Spain and Portugal, with a turnover of over €35 million (2024).
Currently, the group consists of three companies: Suministros Hospitalarios S.A. based in Badalona, SH Medical Ibérica located in Madrid, and SH Dispositivos Médicos, with headquarters in Lisbon.

Stephen Whitehouse took over the role of General Manager in 1997, and since then the team has grown to 75 people who are committed to offering the best possible service to our customers.
Our Sales team have extensive experience in the hospital sector, directly covering the entire Iberia region together with the Marketing team and Product Specialists. Together, they ensure excellent service and technical support for our customers.
We have more than 3,000 m2 of offices and warehouses equipped with the latest technology. This means we can always provide swift supplies to our customers, while respecting the environment and reducing our CO2 footprint.
We have a high performance, high security Thermal disinfection Process, certified according to EN ISO 13485 standard, which guarantees the surgical instruments used with our products are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.
We are leading suppliers of hospital products throughout Spain and have achieved this by ensuring our business activity is guided at all times by the acronym SALUD, meaning “HEALTH” in Spanish.
